的 Crown Center for Teaching (CCT) is a resource for educators who want to expand and hone their teaching toolkits. You will find information throughout this webpage about our Educational Development programming, including New 教师 Orientation, the Mentoring Alliance Program, Crown Conversations, Crown Affiliate 事件, DocuGuides, Educator Learning Communities (ELCs), and Scholarly Writing and Re搜索 Groups (SWARGs), and additional funding opportunities.

2nd and 3rd Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Our 愿景

的 CCT mobilizes students, 工作人员, and faculty to collectively cultivate a learning community that co-creates innovative, inspiring, inclusive, and equitable educational experiences.

Our 任务

的 CCT aims to do the following through its programming and services:

  • To foster curricular innovation through collaborative partnerships between faculty, 工作人员, and students.
  • To build educational awareness, knowledge, and skills about innovative pedagogies and curriculum development
  • To provide opportunities to learn and implement evidence-based pedagogies to facilitate dynamic, inclusive, and equitable educational environments across the institution
  • To support educators in varied institutional roles, at different career stages, and working in a multitude of disciplinary areas.
  • To promote scholarship across field areas including re搜索 on teaching, learning, and educational development.

advisory group

This group provides advice to the CCT Director on expanding the role of the center on campus, provides guidance on services and programming, guides a needs evaluation, coordinates services and programming across units, and thinks strategically about educator development, trajectories, and student outcomes.  CCT advisory group members are responsible for attending blockly meetings, providing suggestions and ideas, communicating knowledge about the scholarship of teaching and learning, showing up at programming, changing the culture of programming at CC, and developing a broad strategic focus for programming annually.
